Think outside the box

Our two-story garages are wonderfully versatile buildings. Why settle for a single story garage?  Perhaps raise the roof, and with it the endless possibilities of some second floor space! The two-story garages are designed to be used for many purposes.  Need additional storage space, a photo studio, or a “man-cave”?  The possibilities don’t stop there!

We encourage you to think outside the box when considering a new garage. What are your current needs in a garage? What needs do you foresee down the road? If you’ve considered adding on to your home for additional entertaining space or a guest bedroom, why not build that into your garage project?

Here’s some things to consider for your garage:

  • Floor Type: Our garages come standard with a wood floor that can be installed on an inexpensive stone pad. However, if you plan to park vehicles in the garage that are either dripping wet or caked with icy slush, you may want to consider a concrete pad. Though more expensive, this will allow you to install a drain in the floor to remove moisture and prevent damage from wetness.
  • Roof Style: A standard two-story garage comes with an A-frame style peaked roof. This works well for basic storage and other occasional usage of your second floor. If you’re thinking about finishing out your second floor as a living space, consider either dormers for additional ceiling height or a Gambrel-style roof.

Our two-story one-car garages come standard with:

  • 9′ high side walls and a steep 10/12 pitch roof
  • One (1) 9 ft. x 7 ft. insulated overhead door
  • Four (4) vinyl insulated windows
  • One (1) personnel door

The two-story double-wide garages come standard with:

  • 10′ high side walls and a 7/12 pitch roof
  • Two (2)  9 ft. x 7 ft. insulated overhead doors
  • Five (5) vinyl insulated windows
  • One (1)  personnel door
